Dermatologists performing surgical procedures — biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy — are subject to the MPBetreibV. Digital reprocessing documentation ensures your compliance.

Reprocessing requirements for surgical dermatology

Gesundheitsamt · Ärztekammer

Dermatologists in Germany who perform surgical procedures — skin biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy with reusable instruments — are subject to the MPBetreibV for medical device reprocessing as outpatient physicians. The KRINKO/BfArM Recommendation 2012 applies. Practices must maintain documented reprocessing procedures, batch documentation, and 5-year record retention.

How SecuSteri helps

Track reusable surgical instrument sterilization

Import your autoclave cycle after each procedure day. Sign the record and maintain a tamper-proof history.

QR-coded labels for instrument traceability

Print traceability labels for each sterilized instrument pack. Link them to the specific autoclave cycle.

Complements your single-use workflow

Most dermatology instruments are single-use — but the ones that aren't need traceable sterilization. SecuSteri handles the reusable portion.
