Italy is Euronda's home market, dominated by hardware-bundled software (E-Memory, free with Euronda autoclaves). Tecno-Gaz, another Italian company, offers STERILDOCS — a tamper-evident paper binder system. Neither is a cloud SaaS multi-vertical solution. SecuSteri occupies a different category.

Three concrete reasons.
First: the Legge Gelli (Art. 4) requires the healthcare facility to make clinical documentation available within 7 days of patient request. A local PC that fails, is stolen, or is inaccessible (owner on vacation, disk full) does NOT reliably meet this requirement. Cloud does.
Second: E-Memory only works with Euronda autoclaves. Practices using W&H, Castellini, Melag, Mocom, SciCan, or multi-brand setups cannot use it.
Third: E-Memory is single-PC. Multi-location clinics and poliambulatori need centralized data, accessible from every site.
The paper register remains the standard in many practices. But pages get lost, handwriting becomes illegible, autoclave thermal printouts fade, and during an ASL inspection there is no way to quickly search for a specific cycle.
Tecno-Gaz STERILDOCS is an evolution of paper: a binder with anti-counterfeit filigree paper (~€25 per binder), positioned for dental practices. It partially solves the immutability problem but does not provide instrument-patient traceability, QR labels, remote access, or digital export. It is paper — better than ordinary paper, but still paper.
Euronda E-Memory is free but tied to hardware: only works with Euronda autoclaves. It is a desktop application for Windows and iOS, not a web app. If your autoclave is not Euronda, it is not an option. If you have multi-site practices or work on a tablet, it is not an option.
SecuSteri does one thing and does it well: complete sterilization traceability, from the autoclave cycle to the patient, for any profession, on any device, with any autoclave brand, anywhere in Italy.
