SegoSoft (Comcotec Messtechnik GmbH — segosoft.at and physical distribution via M+W Dental Austria) is the best-known solution in Austria: BSI-certified as a Class IIb medical device, supports up to 300 devices via RS-232/USB interfaces, offers digital signatures, SegoLabel for barcode labels, and SegoAssign for patient-level assignment. However: Windows-only, per-device licensed with a mandatory ServiceCard at €215/year per device, no mobile access, no cloud, dental and medical only. Note: The Comcotec hygiene course awards 43 Fortbildungspunkte recognized by the Österreichische Zahnärztekammer — these are tied to course attendance, not to the software.
diosMP (Maximal Dental, distributed through Austrian dental dealers) offers a digital hygiene chain but is also on-premise and dental-only. my:MPG (Plandent) offers a comparable solution through the Plandent dealer network in Austria. DOCma (Henry Schein Austria) combines quality management with hygiene documentation, is distributed exclusively through Henry Schein Austria, and is also limited to dental. The so-called "Steri-Anbindung" (sterilization connection) in Austrian dental practice management software available through dental dealers (e.g., dios, Plandent, Henry Schein offerings) is merely a hardware data import — not a complete compliance solution.
Euronda E-Memory is free with autoclave purchase — why pay a subscription? Three concrete reasons. First: the ÖZÄK-Hygieneverordnung 2025 has required documented sterilization records per Anlage 1 with 7-year retention since 1 May 2025 — § 20 Abs. 5 explicitly accepts electronic storage as equivalent to paper printout. A local PC that fails, is stolen, or is inaccessible (owner on vacation, disk full) does NOT reliably meet that availability requirement. Cloud does.
